I just love these kinds of cookbooks - spiralbound within a hardcover - perfect for use in the kitchen.  What I wouldn't give to get my own cookbook published like this!  And the price is extremely attractive too.  Rose Dunnington's books are great because apart from offering delicious things to make, they are very appealing indeed.  In this one she offers Soft Stuff; Munchies; Pie in the Sky; Have Your Cake, and Blissful Bites.  Before you go on a self-indulgent cooking spree, do check out the Getting Started pages as there's nothing like being prepared, or, not being able to satisfy your sweet tooth for lack of gadgets or ingredients.  Some of the recipes I'd love to try are: Flamenco Flan; The Sweetest Snowballs; Honey-Nut Baklava, and Truffles.  I don't think I could go more than a few days after reading this book without trying Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Brownies.  They look divine!  For beginners, I'm sure they'll appreciate the equipment list for each recipe which is handy to have at the outset.  Don't get into a panic looking for stuff once you've started.  If you're organized at the start, you'll enjoy your cooking so much more.  Homemade is so much healthier with little risk of ingesting unpronounceables.  Essentially a kid's cookbook (because of the language and tone), I didn't mind - a good cookbook is a good cookbook, and I like that children are being encouraged to try their hands in the kitchen.
Beautifully illustrated.  No nutritional guides.
