The Simpler the Better - Sensational One-Dish Meals
by Leslie Revsin with Rick Rodgers
John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
ISBN 0-471-48233-1
Published March 2005 - Softcover - 228 pages - $17.95

If you're a regular visitor to this website, you'll know how much I love one-dish meals.  They're so quick and easy (usually) and there's not a trail of pots and pans and plates left behind.  In this one Ms. Revsin gives us "Variations", "Simple Tips", and "Dress it Up", as well as a "Prep" section.  The wonderful thing about one-dish meals is that all you need is a salad to go with your meal.  I often cheat and put everything into the one pot.  Great for busy moms.  In this book we have Soup for Supper; Salad for Dinner; Warm and Wonderful Casseroles; From the Skillet; Stir-Fries and More; From the Pot: Stews and Ragùs, and Chilies; Perfect Pasta (and Risotto and Gnocchi and Grains...), and Roasted and Grilled Suppers.  Recipes that hopped onto my "to do" list include: Italian Sausage Soup; Moussaka with Roasted Eggplant; Chicken-Mushroom Fricassée with Tarragon, and Stir-Fried Noodles with Pork and Vegetables.  These recipes are done in three steps.
No nutritional guides and partially illustrated.  See my review on Leslie Revsin's other cookbook, Sensational Italian.
Conclusion - A delightful collection of easy-to-make one-pot dishes.
