Louise Hay's words of wisdom and encouragement have meant (and continue to mean) volumes to so many people.  My sister for one, adores her.  Affirmations are ways of putting out to the Universe what you need and wish for, and to let go of negative thoughts and beliefs.  In Ms. Hay's explanation of what affirmations are, I liked these sentences: "If you feel that life isn't giving you what you want, then it's certain that you will never have the goodies that life gives to others—that is, until you change the way you think and talk", and "Doing affirmations is consciously choosing to think certain thoughts that will manifest positive results in the future".  Not only will you learn how to say positive affirmations, you'll find out what has been holding you back and why.  Very interesting.  Writing down your affirmations "can intensify its power", says Ms. Hay.  Personally, I found Chapter Four pretty close to home so it was particularly helpful to me.  But, affirmations are for all aspects of one's life, be it insecurity, fear, anger addictions, love, career, home, and more.  We can delve into our past, identify our "problem", and design an affirmation to rid ourselves of the negativity and move on in life with love and confidence.  I think the chapter on Affirmations for Work will appeal to many people, and because our work takes up a big chunk of our lives, this might be extremely important to understand.  If you prefer using a CD, one is supplied.
Remember, it's never too late to change and/or improve one's life.
Conclusion - Very uplifting and encouraging.
