For most beginners, watercolors can be challenging, but the more you research, the more you discover there are ways and means of producing wonderful work.  Personally, I'm not a natural painter, so I fly by the seat of my pants, as it were.  I've always been terrified of doing landscapes as I have no idea of perspective and so end up painting not very good works.  However, when I discovered these Search Press books that have tracings for us to use, I was delighted.  Now you can trace a scene, follow along with the step-by-step instructions, and come up with something semi-reasonable.  I love Terry Harrison's work and this book is no exception.  His colors are pleasing to the eye, as are his compositions.  In this book, Harrison gives these examples: Poppy Field, Doorway, Bluebell Woods (gorgeous), Footbridge in the Woods, and Village in the Snow.  (I learned that you don't have to follow details explicitly, so feel free to add your own colors and ideas.)  I also love his picture on page 48!  Everyone can paint, whether you're a natural or not, and having some help along the way will surely eliminate a lot of frustration.  Many of us need a helping hand visualizing scenes, and this book (and many others from Search Press—visit their website) certainly is inspirational.  You're also given very helpful information on materials as well as information on paints and brushes.
Conclusion - An all-round inspiring and useful book for artists, particularly those starting out.
