It isn't easy finding recipes just for two as they're usually for four.  It's easy to just cut the ingredients in half, but it's even easier when the recipe is specifically geared for just two.  This is such a book, and it's divided into two sections: Spring & Summer Cooking and Fall & Winter Cooking.  The former features Dinner in a Flash, Dining à Deux, Spring Fling, Market-Fresh Meals, and the like.  On offer in the latter, we have Spice is Nice, Harvest Dinners, Cozy Comfort Food, and No-Stress Dinners among others.  I have to admit, that sometimes I just can't be bothered to cook something nice if it's just for one or two.  Usually because of a lack of inspiration.  I loved the sound of these recipes: Pan-Seared Steaks with Mushroom-Cognac Sauce; Halibut Steak with Lemon Glaze; Frozen Lemon-Lime Mousse with Berries; Shrimp and Artichoke Frittata (stunningly different), and Sunday Supper Chicken.  I didn't think that the ingredients were difficult to obtain and if so, often an alternative was offered.  I think I might just have to try Chocolate Omnipotence!  And do take a peek at the cheesecake on page 71.  Look out for the little boxes of gems throughout the book - anything from desserts to sides, and also note the wine recommendations.  Whether you're a retired couple, a childless couple, or even a single person who likes to cook for friends, you'll find this book invaluable.

Conclusion - A great book to have on hand.  Full of wonderful recipes.
