Although this book is nearly ten years old, it still provides you with interesting ideas for a stir-fry meal. I hope you haven't thrown out your wok. Like fashion, these things do the rounds and just for a change, how about a healthy stir-fry meal? So quick and easy. I love the one-pot meals, as it were, and stir-fries are one of my all-time favorites. This book offers not only traditional Chinese meals, but also Greek, Italian, and Thai variations. I like the idea of my vegetables lightly cooked as opposed to the usual boiling-them-to-death method. They have so much more taste. Even though there are lots of recipes that use chicken, and to a lesser extent other meat, you can always have a huge vegetarian stir-fry. Beautifully illustrated throughout. Their recipes are classic ones and more than a few are bound to become your favorites. I was particularly drawn to Spicy Thai Ginger Beef, Curried Chicken Siam, and Salmon in Ginger-Lime. The only one that didn't appeal to me was Mixed Vegetables with Gouda - it's served on English Muffins. One thing that bugs me a bit about stir-fries, is that you'll more than likely have to stock up your spice-rack. But then, I guess, you're stocked!
