I'd never heard of this man and his meals, but now I'd love to try his restaurant.  This book is different in that although it's not just about recipes, it is, there is another unusual aspect to it.  Sánchez has combined a lifetime's worth of taste and flavor memories and distilled them "into fifteen recipes, to cram all that flavor into magical sauces, purees, and pastes that you can keep in the fridge or freezer and pull out whenever you want to turn a simple collection of ingredients into a seriously tasty dinner".  There you are then!  Ready-made bombs to add life to so many meals.  Talk about time-savers!  For example, one such "flavor" is his Garlic-Chipotle Love made from oil, garlic, chipotle chiles, cilantro, lime and salt.  Or Aarón's Adobo which is cumin, coriander, fennel, mustard seeds, pasilla chiles, ancho chiles, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder and Spanish paprika.  What about Mango-aji Amarillo Puree made with mango puree, Dijon mustard, aji amarillo paste, agave nectar or honey, lime zest and lime juice?  So, not only do you get his "loves" to work with, but you get to know how to make and store them, as well as delicious recipes to taste them all.  I have to try his Pickled Onions, My Way as they're similar to how I make mine.  A couple of recipes that look scrumptuous are Sautéed Shrimp with Creamy Red Chile Salsa and Black Beans with Chorizo and Chipotle Creama.
Beautifully illustrated.  No nutritional guides.
Conclusion - Genius.  Delicious spicy recipes to wake up your taste buds and your life!
