My favorite kind of meals and my favorite way to cook.  One pot!  It's convenient, there's less to clean up, and there are so many recipes to choose from.  Whether it's fish, vegetable dishes, meat stews or casseroles, it's all here.  And, one-pot meals are not necessarily "for colder seasons" only.  Author Pam Anderson covers Stews for All Seasons, Worldly Casseroles, Roasting Pan Complete, and Big Summer Salads and Grilled Platters.  The beautiful color photos are literally mouth-watering, not to mention inspirational.  I liked that Appetizers, Salads, and/or Desserts are also offered, so if you want to you can make a whole meal.  Makes entertaining really easy.  One sometimes thinks stews take all day to prepare and make, but, with Spicy Coconut Shrimp Stew with Tomatoes and Cilantro on Sticky Rice as an exmaple, it can be put together very quickly and it looks positively divine.  I also like the look and sound of Jerk Chicken Chili, and this too doesn't take all day to make.  Other recipes that beg to be made are Cassoulet-Style Italian Sausages with White Beans; Rioja Beef with Chickpeas, Peppers, and Saffron, and Braised Lamb Shanks with Tomatoes, Aromatic Vegetables, and White Beans.  As a cheesecake lover, I have to try Rum-Raisin Cheesecake with Gingersnap Crust!  Her drinks suggestions are very useful too.  Most recipes are straightforward and don't call for exotic or expensive ingredients, and there are stovetop dishes as well as baked-in-the-oven recipes.
Exquisitely illustrated.  No nutritional guides.

Conclusion - Not only for entertaining as these dishes are tempting enough to make more often.
