Apparently we are all psychic.  Or at least a bit psychic.  Chanda Parkinson, a professional psychic intuitive, tarot practitioner, esoteric astrologist and spiritual teacher, shares her extensive knowledge and experience in her first book in the hopes that we'll connect with our own spiritual gifts and abilities.  (I've been trying for years!)  Now, I'll be the first to admit that I just can't meditate.  At least not in the traditional way, so when I read that meditation is different for each of us and that it could be indoors or outdoors, and you can use anything that helps calm you, like music, candles, or whatever you like, that was a blessing.  She says, "A meditation practice is a foundation upon which to build your psychic abilities, and it's also highly personal," and that "her book provides an avenue of self-study primarily for beginners".  We'll learn how to connect with spirit guides, loved ones, our higher selves, animal spirits, past lives, etc.  Keeping a journal is helpful (I'm keeping one for my Tarot journey so I can just add another to my collection!) so that's not tough to do.  You'll learn about the differences between the various kind of psychics like clairaudience, clairsentience, clairvoyance or claircognizance (hearing, feeling, seeing or knowing) and which one you're more inclinded to be because of your astrological birth sign.  You also get chapters on Chakras, Spirit Guides, Psychic Tools, Intepreting Psychic Messages, Being in Nature, Auras, and so much more.  Chanda's book is easy to understand and eliminates the "scary" aspect of the unknown.
