It's important that we eat consistently well throughout the day.  That means no shortcuts for lunch, especially if you work outside the home.  Sandy Harper offers lunch suggestions both for home, work, or for school (40 lunchbox menus) to help assemble a healthy midday meal.  She says her book "is not a conventional recipe book" but there are a few.  She covers the basics of food (proteins, carbohydrates - read about what sugar is all about and what it does for and against our bodies and minds! - fats, etc.,) which in my opinion, should be taught in schools.  This is essential knowledge about our bodies and how to feed them properly - (just plain common sense that it should be taught in school) and without this essential knowledge, we develop bad eating habits, diabetes, obesity, heart problems, you name it.  These lunchbox ideas contain proteins carbohydrates, fruit, and an occasional treat.  Balance is key in order to perform properly during the day.  We're offered Power Lunchboxes, Cool Lunchboxes and Officebound and Outbound.  Can I get the recipe for beetroot pâté?  Perseverance is the answer to picky eaters in children.  Keep giving them good and healthy food.  Harper doesn't forget about liquids (water is best) in the lunchboxes.  Compare these lunches to what the average kid (and some adults) at school eats - a burger (or pizza), fries and a soda!
Illustrated.  No nutritional guides but do read the TIPS boxes.
Conclusion - Interesting and very useful in helping change one's bad eating habits for good ones.
