Heavens, I do love a good curry.  I even make my own from time to time, but I cheat and use bottled curry cooking sauce.  And by "curry" I mean good Indian spices and flavors.  The secret to making a good curry (or any food) is to make it from scratch.  Author and chef Hari Nayak offers no-fuss meals which should appeal to many a busy home chef.  His book is divided into these categories: Indian Spice Mixes; Chutneys and Accompaniments; Appetizers; Soups and Dals; Vegetables and Cheese Dishes; Fish and Seafood; Poultry and Meat; Bread and Rice, and Desserts and Drinks.  His recipes are reminiscent of the food and meals he enjoyed as a child in India, and which he uses himself every day.  A lot of Indian dishes are suitable for vegetarians.  His spices are exotic and I would imagine easily obtainable these days on the Internet.  There is a Shopping Guide where you can buy spices.  I fancied the Spiced Garlic accompaniment; full of ingredients I grew up with at home.  Some of his dishes I salivated for include Northern Chickpea Curry; Pumpkin with Coconut; Cauliflower with Ginger and Cumin; Masala-Baked Red Snapper; Chicken Curry in a Hurry; Pork Tenderloin with Mango Salad; Saffron Chicken Biriyani; Baked Garlic Naan (bread), and Pistachio Mango Ice Cream.  There is a wide variety of Indian food you can try, and Hari Nayak's recipes have taken away the long and involved methods of yesteryear.  By the time I had finished this book, I felt suitable educated in all things relating to Indian cuisine.  I felt inspired to try at least a few items and to enjoy the flavors I've loved for years.  Nayak also offers Indian menus to consider, all of which sound delicious.
