The Garlic Lovers' Cookbook
compiled by The Gilroy Garlic Festival Association
Celestial Arts Publishing
ISBN 1-58761-129-5
Published July 2003 - Paperback - 262 pages

Mmmm, garlic, glorious garlic.  Around 200 recipes, from appetizers to soups, meat and seafood, and pickles.  All brought to us courtesy of the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association (www.gilroygarlicfestival.com) who has been going strong since 1979.  What a concept!  I'm not one of those who don't mind handling garlic and I cannot live without this functional little bulb in my kitchen.  Apart from all of the recipes, there are also bits about the Festival, something on the History of Garlic, and Things to Know about Garlic.  All great things to know.  None of the delicious-sounding recipes seem impossible, or outrageously expensive either, which is refreshing.  My old standby favorite is Pesto sauce - a lifesaver - and now I have another twist on it.  You're sure to enjoy this mouth-watering book and it would make a superb gift to anyone who cooks.  Sadly, there are no photographic illustrations.
Conclusion - Very handy in anyone's kitchen. BookBrowser
