Bobby Flay's Grill It!
Clarkson Potter/Publishers
ISBN 978-0-307-35142-5
Published April 2008 - Hardcover - 280 pages - $35.00

You don't have to even have a grill to enjoy these recipes.  Bobby says that "all of the recipes in this book can be cooked on a grill pan instead of outside".  However, traditionally, grilled food is done outside on either charcoal or gas, neither of which I've ever used.  I grew up with my dad making a fire using vine stalks (preferably) and waiting for the coals to be just right.  And we never ever barbecued wieners (gross!) or hamburgers - it was always one of these: local spicy sausage, chicken, lamb chops, kabobs, or occasionaly a piece of steak.  There wasn't an abundance of money either.  We did just it right.  And the thought of people throwing lighter fluid over briquettes and then eating the food therefrom, well, say no more.  Grills and grilling certainly have come a long way, and I'm happy to say that the variety of food being grilled these days is increasing.  Bobby Flay offers a wide selection of ingredients you can use, and has divided his book into chapters on specific foods: Asparagus; Beef; Burgers; Chicken; Corn; Fruit; Lamb; Lobster; Mushrooms; Pork; Potatoes; Salmon; Scallops; Shrimp; Squash and Eggplant; Tuna, and White Fish.  These are some of his recipes I wouldn't mind trying: Grilled Asparagus Panzanella; Sixteen-Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breast with Black Pepper Vinegar Sauce and Green Onion Slaw; Grilled Corn on the Cob with BBQ Butter; Grilled Pineapple with Grated Chocolate and Toasted Hazelnuts; Grilled Lobster and Avocado Cocktails; Stuffed Portobellos with Sausage, Spinach, and Fresh Mozzarella Cheese; All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp with Green Onion, Garlic, and BBQ Spices (sounds wonderful), and Grilled Sea Bass with Salsa Verde.  He also gives us his recipes for relishes, sauces, dressings, vinaigrettes, and more.
Illustrated.  No nutritional guides.
Conclusion - A great source of inspiration for when you're next looking for something different (and healthy) to serve.
