For more years than I care to admit, I've been enjoying the Laughter, The Best Medicine section of the Reader's Digest.  Good, clean fun is how I'd sum these jokes up, and as the title suggests, "A Laugh-Out Loud Collection of Our Funniest Jokes, Quotes, Stories & Cartoons".  Jokes and funnies come from everyday people as well as from professional jokesters and comedians and are divided into these categories: People, The Professions, Religion, Sports, Entertainment, Travel, Public Domain, Money Matters, Technology, and Talking Animals - nothing's sacred.  This collection spans fifty years but you'd never know it as many of the jokes seem timeless.  I won't spoil things by revealing any jokes; suffice to say this book will amuse you for a long time.  Pace yourself and save some pages for another day when you need cheering up.
Conclusion - A great little investment to indulge yourself in when you next need a laugh or a lift.
