The Essential DESSERT Cookbook
Thunder Bay Press
ISBN 1-57145-978-2
Published 1998 - Hardcover - 304 pages

You should never be stuck with what to serve for dessert to guests again.  This is another in the Australian cookbook series, dedicated to that forbidden (really?) course, dessert.  Apart from the magnificent recipes, there is also a section on useful utensils, which is a great help.  Recipe sections include baked desserts, ice-cream, pastries, pancakes, cheesecakes (my favorite), and so much more.  There is a "show stoppers" section where you can try and perfect your skills to show off your creations.  This book also has their star rating for ease of preparation, but, no nutritional information - who cares!  There is however, a low-fat section.  Glorious delights such as tiramisu, pecan and maple syrup pudding, tart au citron, date and mascarpone tart, poached pears with ginger zabaglione, peanut brittle parfait, and steamed upside-down mango pudding abound.
DESSERT may be purchased and/or ordered through your local bookstore.
Conclusion - Indulge yourself with this book - it's so worth it.
