How Linda Died
by Frank Davey
ECW Press
ISBN 1-55022-497-2
Published April 2002 - Paperback - 341 pages - $15.95

This is a touching account of a husband dealing with his wife's illness from a brain tumor, and her subsequent death.  Standing steadfastly beside her is a sure sign that true love does still exist.  Frank Davey eloquently tells about his dreams, desires, and confusion during this time.  Trying to continue living normally (his wife didn't want anyone to know she was so ill), he continues to take their prize-winning Great Dane to shows all over the place.  He delicately relates Linda's up and downs during her extensive treatments, all the fabulous meals she made, and all about their superb wine collection.  He takes us through the daily routines of caring for someone whose condition can only deteriorate.  With help from their two grown children he manages to cope without losing his mind.  This story is powerful, reassuring, sad, and joyful.  It could not have been easy but thankfully, there's hope, and from his story, we can all learn.
Conclusion - Very interesting. BookBrowser
