Cuban cuisine is much more than a mojito and a Cuban sandwich. These Three Guys offer a wide variety of "Cuban" food (influenced by Spanish spices, the Caribbean, and African influences) from Drinks; Appetizers; Salads; Soups; Sandwiches; Eggs; Meat; Seafood; Side Dishes, and Desserts. The "guys" say, "In all cases we present our dishes as they are enjoyed today by Cubans in Miami". Many dishes came about when new ingredients and ideas were found by Cuban exiles in the States. So, you should be able to get ingredients in
this country and taste these or similar dishes when visiting Miami. I can't wait! Recipes that appealed to me include: Foccaccia Cubana; Avocado and Pineapple Salad; Chicken Salad; Red Bean Potage; Cuban Pot Roast; Cuban-Style Skirt Steak (sounds divine); Imperial Rice, and Creole Sauce. Their Country-Style Stew could feed an army! It sounds so tempting. And I loved that they use cumin and that they have a recipe for oxtail. As an island, I can't wait for the day when I can visit Cuba, among many others in the region.
