Isn't it rather alarming just how runaway a pursuit blogging has become?  Whether it's twitter or blog websites one uses, they are ubiquitous on the Internet, with new ones popping up all the time.  My gripe is that too many people using a blog or website or message boards for that matter, can't write or express themselves very well, and just moan and groan and/or behave inappropriately.  Personally, I don't see anything wrong with having a gripe here and there or sharing good news, but when it becomes an obsession and people "have" to blog, it becomes boring, senseless, and a complete waste of time.  I don't have the time to scour the net for blogs (neither am I that interested), but the idea of "art blogs, craft blogs, quilting blogs, sewing blogs, vintage ephemera blogs, and such..." sound like practical and useful ones.  Blogs where you look for help and ideas or offer advice or share creativity, are great in helping people progress (or understand) certain topics.  Tara Frey's insights are as a result of checking things out and sharing them with us.  [I have a website where I also used to blog, but I never had any response so I stopped — also guilty of moaning and groaning a bit!]  She offers many potential blog sites you can look at and decide if you'd like to join in the fun or not.  It's also a wonderful way to connect with other like-minded people or to get different opinions or perspectives on what you're doing.  Frey gives examples of other people's blog sites (fun and very interesting) and you get a feeling of "if they can, so can I".  People's blogs are and can be about absolutely anything at all—whatever gets you up in the morning.  Frey also tells you about the various blog websites you can look into.

Conclusion - Something I'm definitely going to look into after being inspired by this helpful book.
