Just when I thought that was it with 101 Mixed Media Techniques, there is more!  This book, published two years after its predecessor, covers Borders and Edges; Embossing and Casting; Dips, Drops and Sprays; Aging and Antiquing; Pens, Pencils and Pastels; Yarn and String; Fabrics and Fibers; Using Metals; Spray Ink; Ephemera; Alcohol Inks; Washi Tape and more!  And as in the first book, there are reminders to use what you have, be flexible, and mix and match as you please.  There are also short and sweet steps to learn new ideas.  The colorful illustrations are beautiful and I've made notes on the ones I want to try out.  (I struggle with color combinations and can't come up with my own!)  I also like the reminder to use permanent markers (or paint pens) to draw over a prepared page, as well as the idea of Fill Patterns (p 45).  The top of page 66 for Magazine Images will come in handy if, like me, you can't draw.  There are so many surfaces on which you can create art, and wood is included here.
